DONATE

Dear Friends:
Chronic pain is a condition that affects 76 million Americans. Often resistant to treatment, chronic pain is debilitating and isolating because it is an "invisible injury" that impacts upon every aspect of the sufferer's life: emotionally, physically, professionally and spiritually.

Our successes this past year have been advocating and receiving Proclamations from Governor O’Malley and County Executive Leggett proclaiming September Pain Awareness Month, working with the American Pain Foundation to promote advocacy and change, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction six week course held in Silver Spring, support groups held in Montgomery, Prince George's, Howard, Anne Arundel and Baltimore Counties, 2008 Speakers Series in Silver Spring, supervision provided to social workers, information and referrals given to local and national callers, several community workshops and talks educating the community about chronic pain, interviews by newspapers for articles about Pain Connection, publication of our newsletter and updated website information.

We are requesting you to help us in our efforts to expand the services of Pain Connection in order to improve the quality of life of chronic pain sufferers and their significant others.

Your donation will go towards the creation of a chronic pain outreach center that will provide counseling, support groups, 24 hour hotline, information and referrals, case management, library and transportation for chronic pain sufferers.

There are many ways that you can donate a gift to help create further services and ensure our center: Will, Beneficiary Designation, Gifts that provide Lifetime Income to You, and in Honor of a Birthday, Anniversary, Holiday, Graduation or in Memory of a Loved One. Call or email us for details.

Any individual donating over $100 will be listed in our next newsletter.

Your generous contribution to Pain Connection is tax-deductible. Please make check payable to PainConnection.
